Owen Grant Memorial Trophy

About the trophy
The Owen Grant Memorial Trophy is a Twenty/20 tournament played in the memory of Owen Grant, who sadly passed away in March.
Owen Grant was all things to all people within the club, and was one of the vital squad members who brought High Green it's first piece of silverwear in winning Division C in 2006
High Green Village Cricket Club could not think of a finer way of honouring one of the Baggy Green's championship winning squad member "Everyone who was ever in contact with him instantly had an affection with him, that was the type of guy he was. When we talked about how we as a cricket club could honour him and when the talk came around of a Twenty/20 tournament, it was the perfect match" said club captain Andrew West
In addition to the tournament - all funds raised during the day will be donated to the British Heart Foundation, to enable them to continue their hard work in the fight against Heart Disease.
"If the loss of a great person can help other people and their families, then I think I can speak for everyone that the event will become a win-win situation"
